Application of Ethylene Glycol

1. Ethylene Glycol is used in the production of polyester, polyester resin, desiccant, plasticizer, surfactant, synthetic fiber, cosmetics, etc.

2. Ethylene Glycol can be used as a solvent for dyes, inks, etc., to formulate antifreeze for engines, as a gas dehydrating agent, in the manufacture of resins, and also as a wetting agent for cellophane, fibers, leather, and adhesives.

3. Ethylene Glycol can produce synthetic resin PET, polyester fibers, and bottle flake grade PET for making mineral water bottles, etc. It can also be used to produce alkyd resins, glyoxal, etc., and is also used as an antifreeze.

4. Ethylene Glycol is used for the transportation of industrial cold energy and is generally called a heat transfer medium. Meanwhile, it can also be used as a condenser like water.
